It is important to realize the talents and skills that you have and improve upon them. Use your talents to help others, and good things will come to you in return. What advice would you give to a freshman? Understand that as a high school student, fitting in should not be your priority. Be confident in who you are, and don’t try to change because of how cool anything (or anybody) else may seem. Choose those who will truly support you as your friends, and build meaningful relationships with those friends. Ultimately, what you choose to do in high school will have lasting impacts on your life. Thus, it is important to be a wellrounded student. Be active in the extracurricular activities at your school, maintain a decent GPA, and study for your SAT or ACT. Doing all of these will help you to stand out in the pool of college applicants.
