Buyer’s Edge Where can I find it?

-

I am trying to locate yellow Chartreuse to make an Alaska cocktail. I have tried all of the liquor stores around Cartersville, where I live. If you could help me find this, I will be very grateful. Thank you. Jackie Voyles, email

Although the recipe for this French liqueur is a closely guarded secret more than 500 years old, yellow and traditional green Chartreuse are said to contain 130 various spices, herbs and flowers. The green Chartreuse has a higher proof, and packs more of an herbal flavor while the yellow is more mellow and slightly sweeter with some saffron and honey added. You can find yellow Chartreuse in a 750-ml bottle for $49.99 at Tower Beer, Wine and Spirits, 2161 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, 404-881-0902. If your bank account is bulging, you might also consider the velvety V.E.P, Vieillissement Exceptionellement Prolongé, which is made from the same recipe but aged for far longer in oak casks. A 1-liter bottle sells for $139.99. Please help me find Free For All Kitchen olive oil-and-sea salt crackers. They are the best gluten-free crackers I’ve ever had. Thanking you in advance for helping me locate this item. Martha Wilson, Johns Creek

Made by Partners, Free For All Kitchen gluten-free crackers come in several flavors, including olive oiland-sea salt. You’ll find your favorite flavor at Ingles, 5075 Peachtree Parkway, Norcross, 770-448-7876. A 5-ounce box costs $5.78. The store also stocks roasted garlic-and-rosemary and olive oil-and-herb flavors. My favorite canned tomatoes to use in recipes are the petite diced from Red Gold. They are difficult to find. I’ve seen some flavored with garlic and oregano, but I want the plain ones. Please help me find these in Atlanta. I’ll be glad to stock up if you can tell me where they are. Thank you. Maria Hernandez, email

Red Gold petite diced tomatoes are Non-GMO Project verified, and the cans are not lined with BPA. You can find 14.5ounce cans of the plain diced tomatoes for $1 each at Kroger, 3871 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, 404-240-2812.
