In this gospel musical, six black women in the South tell stories of love and loss, deliver powerful gospel music, and explain rituals behind their fabulous hats.

BUTTERFLY ENCOUNTER AT THE CHATTAHOOC­HEE NATURE CENTER

The Chattahooc­hee Nature Center’s most popular exhibit is back for its fifth summer.

Visitors can surround themselves with hundreds of butterflie­s, and the beautiful nectar plants that give the butterflie­s refreshmen­t. Daily, through July 31; $10; $6 ages 3-12; $7 students and senior citizens.

FRINGE FESTIVAL AT SEVEN STAGES

Continuing through Sunday, June 10, the Atlanta Fringe Festival presents 20 different shows, including standup (by artists such as Brian Bannon); dance (from Lauren Withart and from the Atlanta Dance Collective); puppets; circus arts; sketch comedy; theater and other delights.
