NIH launches historic research project

National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to gather data from 1 million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health.

By taking into account individual difference­s in lifestyle, environmen­t, and biology, researcher­s will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine. The All of Us Journey is an interactiv­e mobile unit that has been touring the United States to spread the word about the All of Us program.

The Journey will make several stops in Atlanta:

■ Annual Atlanta Greek Picnic, Morris Brown College 643 M.L.K. Jr Dr. SW, Atlanta, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.

■ Hispanic Health Coalition, Altierus Career College, 2841 Greenbriar Pkwy. SW, Atlanta, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

■ Morehouse School of Medicine, 720 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday.

■ Emory University (parking lot in Andrews Circle at health sciences research building). 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
