NIH launches historic research project
National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to gather data from 1 million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health.
By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine. The All of Us Journey is an interactive mobile unit that has been touring the United States to spread the word about the All of Us program.
The Journey will make several stops in Atlanta:
■ Annual Atlanta Greek Picnic, Morris Brown College 643 M.L.K. Jr Dr. SW, Atlanta, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
■ Hispanic Health Coalition, Altierus Career College, 2841 Greenbriar Pkwy. SW, Atlanta, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
■ Morehouse School of Medicine, 720 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday.
■ Emory University (parking lot in Andrews Circle at health sciences research building). 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
