A: The Fox Theatre’s Marquee Club is not based on any specific venue, Jamie Vosmeier, senior director of sales and marketing for the Fox Theatre, told Q&A on the News via email.
Vosmeier said there is no connection to London’s Marquee Club. The club was open from 1958 to 1995 and featured performances from bands including the Rolling Stones.
“The name comes from the opportunity to see the iconic Fox marquee up close from our rooftop terrace,” Vosmeier told Q&A on the News in an email.
