I have lived here for over 40 years and have been looking for Ba- Tampte tomatoes. I know they are made. Could you please help me? The tomatoes are wonderful. Thanks for your assistance and help. Cindy Roth, Canton

Cindy, I have a steady source of Ba-Tampte pickled tomatoes for you. You’ll find quart jars of the green tomatoes for $4.99 at The Kosher Gourmet, 2153 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta, 404636-8675. This Brooklynbased company has been pickling since 1955.

My mother used a stovetop oven that had a thermometer built into the top. She would bake a few potatoes during the hotter months rather than use our regular oven. A microwaved potato doesn’t have the same flavor as baked. Have toaster ovens replaced what I’m describing? If not, please let me know where I can purchase a stove-top oven. Jim Freeman, Peachtree City

I wonder if your mother used the Landers, Frary and Clark Universal stove-top oven. It featured a domed lid with a temperature gauge on the front, and the twopiece cooker sat on top of the stove’s heating element and could bake potatoes and heat other foods without using the oven. Although the item is no longer available, I did find a substitute that functions in the same way. The two-piece, nonstick, domed stove-top potato baker resembles the one you described but it doesn’t have a temperature gauge. Like the one you remember, it’s designed to bake potatoes and heat dinner rolls. You can order it for $17.99 through Fantes.com or by calling 800-443-2683.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me find the sugar-free salad dressing for Greek salads. It’s made by Cindy’s. I recently had it at a baby shower and it was just delicious and very fresh tasting. I really hope you can find this for me. Thank you. F. Dawson, email

You’ll find Cindy’s Kitchen of Brockton Greek dressing and marinade with feta and black olives in the refrigerated section of Fresh Market, 2480 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta, 404-321-0674. A 16-ounce bottle of the dressing costs $6.99. All of the dressings made by the Massachusettsbased company are sugar, oil, gluten and dairy free.

I like to use false eyelashes on special occasions, but I admit that I make a mess with the tubes of glue. I want to find the glue that comes in a tube and it’s applied with a brush like eyeliner. The one I’m looking for is black, and the name is Velour. Thanks. K. Graham, email

You’ll find Velour Lashes adhesive at Sephora, Perimeter Mall, 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, 678731-9950. You can select from latex-free black or white adhesive. A .05-ounce tube costs $12.
