Associate judge recognized for service
East Point Associate Judge Glen Ashman recently received the President’s Award from the state Council of Municipal Judges. This award recognizes Judge Ashman’s 30th year serving the citizens of East Point as Judge. He was honored at the annual state judge’s training in Savannah.
Ashman is a past recipient of the state judge’s lifetime achievement award and other honors for over 15 years. Last year, the organization honored Judge Ashman by creating a new award, the Glen Ashman Education Award, named after him, and making him the first recipient. On June 21, Judge Ashman presented the award to two of his colleagues, Judge John Cicala and Judge David Hobby.
