County seeks public feedback on U ni fifi ed Plan
Gwinnett’s 2040 Unifified Plan and future development map will be available for public viewing, review and feedback at a series of community open house sessions. Allmeetings are 5 to 7 p.m.
■ Thursday — OneStop Centerville, 3025 Bethany Church Road in Snellville
■ Aug. 20— FiveForksLibrary, 2780 Five Forks TrickumRoad in Lawrenceville
■ Aug. 23 — Best Friend Park, 6224 Jimmy Carter Blvd. in Norcross
■ Aug. 30— Dacula Park Activity Building, 2735 Old Auburn Ave. in Dacula
The plan will present draft goals or themes relating to economic development, redevelopment, transportation, housing andother issues, along with policies to help achieve those goals.
In addition to updating the 2030 Unifified Plan, it ties together a number of recently adopted blueprints for the future, such as the Comprehensive Transportation Plan, the Transit Development Plan and the Countywide Trails Master Plan.
At the upcomingmeetings, visitors can write down their reaction and suggestions. Feedback will be considered as they fifinalize the plan for approval by the Board of Commissioners in October for submittal to the Atlanta Regional Commission.
