Wine Riot

Wind down with a glass of wine or two (or three) during Wine Riot. Geared toward millennial­s, the twoday event features tastings focused on specific wine categories; a Bubble Bar featuring a variety of sparkling wines; and a regional and varietal booth offering tastings of 10 key wine regions, in addition to other wine-themed activities. Back on the Farm

Chow down on food from “Top Chef ” alum and owner of Gunshow and Revival Kevin Gillespie during the Atlanta History Center’s Back on the Farm event. Gillespie, along with other chefs including Suzanne Vizethann of Buttermilk Kitchen, will offer a menu featuring dishes such as whole hog and beef brisket. Gunshow’s Mercedes O’Brien will create drinks for the evening. Food tour

Take a food tour with an internatio­nal flair with the Gateway Flavors Global Food Tour. Hop on a trolley and travel to five restaurant­s including D’Cuban Cafe, Indian restaurant Ashiana and Taiwanese eatery Bento Cafe. 1:30-5 p.m. Sept. 15. $55, includes tastings at each restaurant and a swag bag. Southern Chefs Potluck

Some of the top chefs in Atlanta, including Steven Satterfiel­d and Asha Gomez, will serve up food at the ninth annual Southern Chefs Potluck events. In addition to the casual Sunday supper, tickets include local beer, wine and cocktails as well as a live auction. Proceeds benefit Wholesome Wave Georgia’s programs aimed at providing fresh, healthy foods for low-income and food-insecure families. 3-6 p.m. Sept. 16. $175-$300. Cocktail and spirits dinner

Get spirited at this cocktail and spirits dinner at Stem Wine Bar. Chefs Doug Turbush and John Flagello of Stem Wine Bar are teaming up on a five-course menu featuring dishes such as juniper-cured Ōra King salmon with crème fraîche, Hatch chile, micro cilantro and compressed avocado and whiskey-braised wagyu short rib with smash fried plantain, roasted baby turnip, pickled turnip greens and pan jus each paired with a spirit including gin, tequila or rum, with cocktails from Stem mixologist David Peek also available.6:30-9:30 p.m. Sept. 17. $99. Barrel of Chefs

Is there really such a thing as too many cooks in the kitchen? Find out during Barrel of Chefs, which will bring together more than 10 chefs including Hector Santiago of El Super Pan, Andre Gomez of Porch Light Kitchen and George Brooks of Botiwalla to create a five-course meal that also includes local wine, beer, cocktails and coffee. Open Hand’s Party in the Kitchen

Eating well and doing good collide at Open Hand Atlanta’s 15th annual Party in the Kitchen, featuring food from 19 top Atlanta chefs including Shaun Doty of the Federal, Jonathan and Justin Fox of Fox Bros. BBQ and Fuyuhiko and Lisa Ito of Umi, as well as drinks from local mixologist­s. The event, which will also feature silent and live auctions, will raise money for Open Hand Atlanta, a nonprofit that delivers meals to atrisk youths and families and other communitie­s. 7 p.m. Sept. 27. $250.
