Alice Cooper is a pioneer of the theatrical brand of music known as shock rock. His blend of horror, vaudeville and garage rock has featured the use of fake blood, boa constricto­rs and electric chairs on stage to give a sense of darkness to hard rock music. Cooper spends six months on the road with more than 80 concerts each year around the world. Catch the current band featuring guitarists Ryan Roxie, Nita Strauss and Tommy Henriksen; drummer Glen Sobel and longtime bassist Chuck Garric, on their tour through Atlanta. 8 p.m. Oct. 10. $49$99. Brush lettering class

Instructor Carrie Keesling-Getz teaches the art of brush lettering. Students will use brush pens to turn basic strokes into beautiful script and block hand lettering. The class will also demonstrat­e how to blend colors to create an ombre effect. The fees include various brush pens and papers and a course packet for practicing at home. Get ready for Halloween season with a special showing of “Carrie” the 1976 adaptation of Stephen King’s horror novel. Carrie White, a teenager who is bullied by her classmates and subjected to abuse from her mother, discovers she has supernatur­al powers.
