Where can I find it?

-

Can you please tell me where I could find the coffee substitute called Postum. I really enjoyed this b everage on cold mornings and I have not been able to find it anymore. Thanks. — Rita Diane, email

Caffeine-free Postum hot beverage, made with roasted wheat grain and molasses, was launched over 100 yea rs ago by the Post Cereal Compan yb ecause caffeine was considered unhealthy. Eventually, Postum landed under the Kraft umbrella and was discontinued about 10 years ago. However, the beverage still enjoyed legions of fans and, in 2013, Eliza’s Quest Food bought the recipe and trademark rights. For a while, Postum was only available online through postum.com, but it’s now easier to find locally. You can purchase an 8-ounce jar of Postum for $7.98 at Ingles Market, 4815 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, 404-299-0698. You’ll find Pos tumon the to ps helf in the coffee aisle.

I grew up in Atlanta. I have been searching the grocery stores for two items with no luck. We always had candied sweet pickle slices with roast b ee f during t he holidays. Kroger had sweet dill pickle strips, but they seem to have taken them off the shelves. I would love to find either or both. Thank you so much for your help. — Merrilee Martin, email

Merrilee, locally, I found a Georgia brand called Kenny B’s sweet dill pickles. A 16-ounce jar sells for$6.99atDavid’sProduceand Country Store, 3561 Lavista Road, Decatu r,4 04-325-0709. When you’re picking up your pickles, you might also consider David’s Sweet Fire, a blend of sweet breadand-butter pickles spiked with a bit of jalapeno. These come highly recommended.

About 15 or 20 years ago, I purchased some sock holders. After washing my socks, I don’t place them in th e dryer. I hang them on those supports to dry naturally without shrinking. They have a hook on top to hang them from the grid shelves. I’ve been looking for these but can’t find them. Most of the time, the store personnel does not know what I am talking about. Your assistance would be much appreciated. — Clément Desaulniers, email
