The boyfriend of a woman killed in Johns Creek and whose body was burned in Lawrenceville turned him- self in to authorities Monday night, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Michael Smith, 20, is one of three men charged in the death of Adelisa Muratovic, whose body was found in a burning car in a Lawrencev- ille subdivision on Oct. 30.

Smith faces a number of charges including felony murder. Two other men, Antoine Sim s , 20, and Deshaun Flournoy, 18, have also been charged, but have not yet been arrested.

Muratovic, 21, was already dead from a gunshot wound when her body was set on fire some time before 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 30, Johns Creek police said.

Muratovic, Smith and Flournoy had driven to a Johns Creek apartment complex for a drug deal with Sims around 9 p.m. on Oct. 29, according to Capt. Chris Byers, a spokesman for the Johns Creek Police Department. Police believe Smith and Flournoy may have intended to rob Sims, Channel 2 reported.

When the deal went bad, gunshots erupted and Mura- tovic was hit, according to police. Smith told officers he ran away after the shooting and did not know what happened to Muratovic or the car. He said he last saw her sitting in the passenger seat at the apartment complex.

Police believe Sims took the car containing Mura- tovic’s body to Lawrenceville and set it on fire. He has been charged with arson and con- cealing a death in Gwinnett County; as well as felony murder and purchase, distribution and sale of marijuana in Johns Creek.

In addition to felony murder, Smith has been charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to com- mit armed robbery and pos- session of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Flournoy is charged with felony murder and criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.
