“A Christmas Carol”
There are several options to see this classic tale including Alliance Theatre’s 29th annual production which opens Dec. 12 and runs through Dec. 24. Journey through time with the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as his late business partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future help Scrooge learn how to make better life choices. Star 94.1 Jingle Jam

Jingle Jog 2018, 5K Race
Jump start your fitness goals before the new year by participating in the Modern Luxury a Jingle Jog, a 5K Race through Piedmont Park. The event includes festive stops along the route. Take a picture with Santa and wrap up the race with cocktails at Park Tavern. Holiday-inspired attire is welcome. Bring a small gift to be donated to a children’s charity courtesy of Piedmont Park Conservancy. 6-8 p.m. Dec. 12. Free.
