Q: Can you give us an update on when the Cyclorama will reopen at the Atlanta History Center? — DEBBIE PURCELL, CORNELIA

A: It is set to open Feb. 22, according to the Atlanta History Center.

The painting, which depicts the Battle of Atlanta, was moved in February 2017 from Grant Park to the center’s new Lloyd and Mary Ann Whitaker Cyclorama Building, where it is being restored.

The nonprofit center, located in Buckhead, has entered into a 75-year license agreement with the City of Atlanta to relocate and preserve, restore and maintain the painting, along with the 1856 Texas locomotive and other items, including photographs and archival records.

Q: Who is the behind-thescenes announcer on “Channel 2 Action News” who says “Live, Local, Late Breaking. This is Channel 2 Action News”? He also announces other WSB-TV shows. If I am not mistaken, I have also heard this same person in other cities in my travels on other TV channels. This person has been announcing for many years, but I have never heard any mention of who he is. —JOHN CHAMPION, ATLANTA

The voice is that of Scott Chapin, a national TV voiceover artist who has provided the phrases at the top of the broadcast and other messages to WSB-TV for over 20 years, according to the station. He has worked for more than 30 stations around the U.S., including in Miami and Boston, according to Newscast Studio, a trade publication for the broadcast production industry.
