What’s not working around metro Atlanta

“The water main is broken and constantly leaking water 24 hours – seven days a week at Piedmont.”

One of the most requested issues we get are complaints about is potholes throughout the Atlanta region.

A reader hopes something can be done about another pothole on Clairmont Road

“Clairmont Road always seems to have a pothole problem no matter how many get fixed. Once again, there is an unavoidable pothole just past the light at McConnell Drive and Clairmont Road going toward the Veterans Administration.”

The reader said it is bad on the tires and can’t be avoided unless you veer to the right and hit the curb or veer to the left into the next lane, which is not a viable option in heavy traf- fic times.

We sent the item to the Department of Transpor- tation and will keep you updated.

Chris House has a prob- lem with a persistent water leak on a busy street in the city.

House owns a business on Piedmont Road in Atlanta and has watched the issue for years.

“The water main is broken and constantly leaking water 24 hours — seven days a week at Piedmont. This has been occurring since 2016,” he wrote.

House could not even speculate how much water has been wasted in two years and has made repeated calls to the city’s water department over the last two years, without getting any results.

“It is a constant flow of water from the street down the driveway,” he added.

We sent the issue to the city and will update you when we have an answer.
