Fred Wade hopes the darkness can soon be replaced with light.
“I’m sending this email due to the lights at Candler Park Tennis Courts being completely out. These lights have been out to my knowledge since Dec. 13. I know the lights were functioning prior, although there were several bulbs that needed to be replaced. Your assistance would be truly appreciated in aiding our community to restore lights to the courts,” Wade wrote.
We sent the issue to the city and will keep you updated.

Alexandra Park hopes something can be done about a dangerous situation near a major hospital.
“I think of you daily as I make my way to Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital. Approximately 3-4 months ago they removed a small triangle area as you are headed on Peachtree Dunwoody Road almost under the I-285 overpass. They placed about a dozen orange barrels there and then nothing else has happened. What was the purpose of removing the triangle only to let barrels live there? Is there a grand plan for this?”
We sent her concerns to the Department of Transportation and will let you know when it is resolved.

Update: Tucker (DeKalb)
Nancy Decker wrote to us about a sidewalk in DeKalb County in December.
“I’ve attached a picture of the sidewalk on the 2100 block of McCurdy Road in DeKalb County. The city of Tucker told me that this maintenance is the responsibility of DeKalb County. Any help with getting this cleaned up will be greatly appreciated,” she wrote.
DeKalb officials said the county will service the sidewalk on the 2100 block of McCurdy Road within two weeks, weather permitting.
