■ The Friends of the Decatur Library Book Sale. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 9. Free admission. Inside the building, lower level, Decatur Library, 215 Sycamore St., Decatur. Thousands of gently used fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, as well as CDs and DVDs, will be available for purchase. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Dealers must scan at tables. ■ DeKalb History Center’s 11th Annual Black History Month Celebration. 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Feb. 14. $30/members, $40/nonmembers, including a catered buffet lunch. Besides the lunch, there also will be a panel discussion of state representatives and community leaders, an original film and a presentation by the DeKalb School of the Performing Arts Chorus.
