Henry bar and grill falls short

A Henry County bar and grill failed a recent health inspection. Grand Stands Bar & Grill in Hampton scored 60/U on Feb.

7. Previous scores were 83/B on Dec. 14, 2017, and 90/A on April 17, 2015.

According to the report, the dishwasher wasn’t dispensing sanitizing solution.

Other violations included:

■ The ice machine in the main kitchen had a buildup of black mold in the dispenser area.

■ Several items in the prep top cooler in the main kitchen were holding a temperatur­e greater than 41 degrees.

■ Blue cheese and diced tomatoes were past the seven day mark for food storage.

■ A food container labeled as ginger soy contained onion ring batter.

■ A tub of pickles was on the floor of the walk in cooler. All food items need to be stored at least 6 inches off the ground.

■ There was a live roach inside the main kitchen.

Most restaurant­s with failed scores are reinspecte­d within 10 days.
