DDREA, a unit of the Georgia Retired Educators Association, is recruiting members, including retired educators from Decatur and DeKalb County schools, private and public, as well as other retired educators who live in the area. ■ Love Run 5K presented by DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston. 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23. Prices vary. Decatur Square, 101 East Court St., Decatur. In commemoration of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, this family-friendly, walkor-run event will raise money and awareness about domestic and dating violence. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence — $15,000 since 2016. According to national statistics, one in three adolescents is a victim of a dating partner’s physical, sexual, emotional and/or verbal abuse. Yet only 33 percent of teens report that abuse.
