Cobb hosts input meetings on park plans

Several community input meetings on new Cobb parkland master plans will continue through March.

Cobb County PARKS’ staff members will discuss planning for the future of new park properties purchased through the 2008 PARKS Bond program.

While there is no funding for the developmen­t of these properties, community input will play “a vital role” in planning for future developmen­t once funding is found, according to a county statement.

There will be a separate meeting for each of the properties purchased in Districts One, Three and Four.

Below is more informatio­n about the meetings planned around the county:

■ 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at Noonday Baptist Church, 4121 Canton Road, Marietta about the park property at 4055 Ebenezer Road, Marietta.

■ 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 27 at West Cobb Senior Center, 4915 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs about the park property at 451 Anderson Road, Marietta.

■ 6:30-8 p.m. March 4 at West Cobb Regional Library (Mars Hill), 1750 Dennis Kemp Lane, Kennesaw about the park property at 4700 Stilesboro Road, Kennesaw.

■ 6:30-8 p.m. March 11 at Ron Anderson Recreation Center, 3820 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs about the park property at 4570 Old Westside Road, Powder Springs.

■ 6:30-8 p.m. March 20 at South Cobb Community Center, 620 Lions Club Drive, Mableton about the park property at 6800 Henderson Road, Mableton.
