■ Call to Third-Grade Students: Forsyth County Fire Safety Poster Contest. Due by March 15. This contest is open to all third-grade students in Forsyth County - home, private and public schools. The posters should reflect one of the following themes:

■ “Two Ways Out” – Always know two ways out of a location.

■ “Firefighte­rs Are Our Friends” – Don’t be scared of firefighte­rs in gear.

■ “Get Low and Go” – Crawl under smoke.

One winner and one runner-up for each theme will be chosen. The three winners will enjoy a pizza party with their class and local firefighte­rs. The three winners and three runners-up will have their artwork displayed in county buildings and will receive a certificat­e of accomplish­ment from Forsyth County Fire Chief Barry Head.
