This cookie monster is accused of hitting his girlfriend

A Zephyrhill­s man is accused of domestic battery after he allegedly threw a piece of a cookie at his girlfriend.

Wade Alan Smith, 41, was arrested at the couple’s home. The victim told deputies Smith threw a hard piece of a cookie and hit her in the forehead.

No word if the cookies were from the Girl Scouts.

Cruelty to shark: A Palmetto man pleaded guilty to dragginga shark behind a speeding boat.

Michael Wenzel, 22, was accused of misdemeano­r animal cruelty and using an illegal method to catch a shark. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and 11 months’ probation.

A shark expert said videos indicate the shark was dead.

Fight over luggage: Two people were arrested following a fight over luggage at Fort Lauderdale’s airport. Delta staffers told them they had to check their luggage because the plane was full.

The pair refused. Instead, they caused a disturbanc­e. One of them had three bags, more than allowed.

That’s your excuse? A Miami man brought what appeared to be a pipe bomb into a fast food restaurant.

Luis Felipe Jaspe Jr., 47, brought a metal pipe wrapped with black tape, a red cap and battery wires into the restaurant.

The report said Jaspe told officers he used the device “as a weapon for self-defense.”
