■ Get to know one of Atlanta’s newest restaurant­s during a two-hour cooking class with Ron Hsu, the chef behind the newly opened Candler Park restaurant Lazy Betty, at the Midtown location of Cook’s Warehouse. Get a look into the way Hsu approaches cooking, with dishes including Asian Delight Rice and Chicken Liver Mousse.

■ Join Cat Neville, the producer and host of the PBS show “tasteMAKER­S,” to get a closer look at Atlanta’s artisan food scene.

The Atlanta stop of “Meet the Makers,” part of a ninecity event series, will feature live interviews and segments from the show with Clay Oliver of Oliver Farm; cooking demos with Steven Satterfiel­d of Miller Union, Rikki Waite of My Grandma’s’ Empanadas and Lia Weber, winner of season four of TLC’s “Next Great Baker”; and a discussion with Jody Daley on the way farmers markets connect farmers and makers. The event will be followed by food and drinks from local businesses including Watershed and Pine Street Market.

■ Get fermented at the third annual Fermentati­on Fest, hosted by Cultured South Fermentati­on Co. with nonprofit partners Georgia Organics and the Farmer Fund. Expect fermented products from around two dozen local and regional producers, educationa­l talks and demonstrat­ions, seasonal kombucha on tap and a libation lounge curated by Dames

And Dregs Beer Festival.

■ The Georgia Farmers Market Associatio­n is recognizin­g the end of Food Justice Week with a Local Low Country Boil Dinner. Look for fare from Kevin Mobley of Anna Bell’s Mac and Cheese and plant-based chef and nutritioni­st Chef Zu. Proceeds go to benefit the Just Food Market. The dinner will also have tiered pricing to ensure everyone can attend.

■ Get a taste of Buford Highway in Inman Park for one night as Masterpiec­e chef Rui Liu teams up with BeetleCat chef-owner Ford Fry and executive chef Andrew Isabella for a mashup dinner. Look for dishes including lobster sliders, yumwoodsen mung bean noodle salad and umami popcorn alongside specialty cocktails. Tickets include food and two beverages.

■ Remember chef Anthony Bourdain at 101 Steak chef Ron Eyester and partner Joey Ahn’s tribute dinner. The five-course meal inspired by Bourdain’s cooking and culinary travels include hors d’oeuvres, and dishes including steak tartare, Bear Creek cote de boeuf, Basque-style whole roasted fish and Heritage Farms Suckling Pig. Wine pairings for each course are included.
