The lower reservoirs at West Point and Walter F. George are at or near their normal winter levels, as rainfall in the area south of metro Atlanta has been significan­tly less than seen to the north, a spokesman for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District told Q&A on the News.

Females represent 16.7 percent of U.S. military active duty personnel, according to December 2018 data from the DMDC (Defense Manpower Data Center), which collects and maintains databases for the Department of Defense.

The total number of U.S. military active duty personnel is 1.3 million, with 218,864 females, which includes officers, enlisted and cadets/midshipmen.

Females comprise 18 percent of officer positions, or 41,417 officers, and 16.3 percent of enlisted positions, or 174,020 enlisted (excluding cadets and midshipmen), according to the DMDC data.
