The prostitution case against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is scheduled for an arraignment March 28, court records show. A notice filed reads that “the defendant must be present at this hearing,” which is set to be at the North County Courthouse in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
2 Warnings:
A federal judge in Boston has ordered the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to create graphic health warnings for cigarette packs and related advertising by next year.
The Boston Globe reports the judge ordered the agency must complete a study of the graphic warnings by April 15, submit a rule mandating the warnings for publication by Aug. 15, and have the warnings ready by March 15, 2020.
3 Jackson off “Simpsons”:
Nearly three decades ago, Michael Jackson offered to be a guest voice on “The Simpsons.” The result of that collaboration will now be pulled from recirculation. The top minds behind Fox’s animated show say they were swayed by “Leaving Neverland,” the controversial documentary that began airing on HBO Sunday and alleges child abuse by the late performer.
4 Legal bills:
The California Legislature racked up more than $1.8 million in legal costs from sexual harassment investigations during 2018 and the first month of this year when at least nine current or former lawmakers faced allegations of misconduct, according to records obtained by the Associated Press.
5 Returns to Earth:
SpaceX’s swanky new crew capsule made an old-fashioned splashdown in the Atlantic on Friday, ending a six-day test flight to the International Space Station.
