16. Free and open only to DeKalb County residents. Sanitation Division’s Central Transfer Station, 3720 Leroy Scott Drive, Decatur. Hazardous materials, such as paint and paint-related products, aerosols, batteries, adhesives, flammables, lawn care products, fluorescent light bulbs, photo chemicals and artist supplies, will be accepted. Not accepted will be agricultural waste, ammunition, pharmaceuticals, radioactive materials and biohazardous and biomedical waste. Participants will be limited to 10 gallons of paint per vehicle. The event offers an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of dangerous household chemicals. Proper identification to prove DeKalb County residency may be requested.
