LB Fowler decides to stick with Rams

-

Linebacker Dante Fowler re-signed with the L.A. Rams, passing up a shot at unrestricted free agency to stay with the NFC champions. The Rams didn’t disclose terms. They acquired him in an Oct. 30 trade with Jacksonville and the edge rusher played a significant role in their run to the Super Bowl in Atlanta.

■ The Lions signed twotime Super Bowl-winning WR Danny Amendola, taking advantage of their connection to the Patriots. Detroit is led by GM Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia, both of whom worked for the Patriots, and that made Amend ola com-fortable joining the franchise. “I was around (Patricia) all the time and I just love the enthusiasm he brings,” said Ame n dola, who had 59 catches for 575 yards and one TD last year with Miami after playing for New England from 2013-17.

■ The Browns released TE Darren Fells.

■ A person with direct knowledge of discussions told The Associated Press Buffalo will sign free-agent CB Kevin Johnson, who was recently cut by the Texans.

■ The Raiders agreed to sign free agent OT Trent Brown to a four-year deal worth a record $66 million.

■ The 49ers agreed to sign LB Kwon Alexander to a fouryear, $54 million contract.

■ The Vikings released RG Mike Remmers and declined an option on safety Andrew Sendejo’s contract, clearing more than $10 million in salary cap space, and tendered contracts to safety Anthony Harris and OT Rashod Hill, both restricted free agents.
