Whiskey Bird opens for weekday lunch hours this month. The Morningside bar and restaurant, which previously offered only dinner and brunch, will serve a lighter version of its tapas-style menu of Asian-inspired dishes. New options include a Thai chicken burger and Ahi Tuna Tataki. Happy hour will start at 3 p.m. and continue until 6:30.

Raise a glass to female brewers
Celebrate female brewers at downtown Atlanta’s second Dames and Dregs Beer + Festival. The event offer panels on topics including business culture and community activism, and features live music, a gaming area and art and food vendors. More than 40 breweries from across the country will serve samples of several of their beers.

Indulge in a vermouth dinner at The Shed at Glenwood. Mhairi Voelgsen, founder of broVo Spirit and master mixologist, will guide guests through a four-course dinner with drink pairings. The menu includes panseared scallops paired with broVo’s “Witty,” braised pork ravioli and vermouth snowcones.

Get a taste of Florida
Diners will have a chance to experience the flavors of Northwest Florida when Atlanta’s top restaurants host award-winning South Walton chefs. Meet Leslie Lennox, founder of artisan sauce company Hope’s Gardens at one of several Atlanta stops on her “PESTO: The Modern Mother Sauce” book tour. Check out some coffee creations
This year marks the third annual U.S. CoffeeChamps Preliminaries, and East Pole Coffee Co. will be hosting the Barista & Brewers Cup. Taco bout a fun time
