Where Can I Find It?

Where can I find it?

Blue Bell chocolate chip ice cream, Pickled Pink pickles and Guittard milk chocolate baking chips,

Do you know if any local store stocks Blue Bell chocolate chip (not chocolate chip cookie dough) ice cream on a regular basis? I normally shop at Kroger on Caroline Street, and they seem to only get it once or twice a year, as if it’s seasonal. It’s been my favorite ice cream since the late ’70s, and I hate that it’s so hard to find. Thank you. — Jane Fratesi, email

Jane, Blue Bell Creamer- ies produces more than 40 ice cream flavors, not including single-serve and novelty items. According to the Blue Bell branch manager, limited space in stores doesn’t allow for Blue Bell to display all of its flavors all the time. However, he did say that Blue Bell will make sure that some chocolate chip ice cream gets delivered to Kroger, 1225 Caroline St., Atlanta, 404-880-4105, on the next scheduled delivery date. Blue Bell, based in Brenham, Texas, got its start in the early 1900s when it began producing butter. The creamery eventually phased out the butter production and started churning ice cream full time.

I went to a baby shower recently, and the hostess served delicious sweet pick- les called Pickled Pink. They were cut nice and thick, and they weren’t cloying at

all like some regular sweet pickles. I’d love to find these

somewhere locally. Thanks. — J. Stewart, email

My favorite baking chips are from Guittard and while I can find the semi-sweet fairly easily, I have a very difficult time locating the milk chocolate. The holidays are around the corner, and I need to start stocking up. If you could find a reliable source for these, I would be grateful. Thank you. — Mrs. F. Jackson, email
