- By Todd Holcomb GHSF Daily

Kameron Wilson, a senior linebacker at Mount Zion-Jonesboro, had 11 tackles, four for loss, two sacks and two quarterback hurries last weekend during a 14-9 upset against Stephenson. It was Mount Zion’s first victory against a ranked opponent since 2008. Mount Zion had lost 16 consecutive games to top-10 teams.

“Kam has been a true force,” Mount Zion coach Kevin “Bull” Jones said. “Those Stephenson kids are very big and got to him a couple of times, but his motor allowed him to get the sacks. I’ll stop short of saying anybody is unstoppable, but he’s been a gamechanger for us.”

Wilson, who committed to Louisville, has 10 sacks and 12 tackles for loss in three games. A three-year starter, Wilson has 45.5 sacks in his career.
