■ Woodstock Sunset Symphony: Cobb New Horizons Symphonic Band. 7 p.m. today. Free. Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheat­er, 101 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock. The program will feature music of the swing era with songs from artists Duke Ellington, Louis Prima and Benny Goodman. This band offers senior adults with musical instrument experience the opportunit­y to join an actively performing symphonic band serving the community. ■ Keep Roswell Beautiful’s Great Duck Race. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 12:30 p.m. race begins Oct. 19. $5/duck, $12/three ducks, $30/10 ducks. Big Creek, Oxbo Road, Roswell. Ducks also will be available for sponsorshi­p at the race. During this annual fundraisin­g event, the toy ducks will “paddle” franticall­y down a short stretch of the creek. The first to cross the finish line will earn $250 for its sponsor. Second place earns $100.
