This band offers senior adults with musical instrument experience the opportunity to join an actively performing symphonic band serving the community. ■ Keep Roswell Beautiful’s Great Duck Race. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 12:30 p.m. race begins Oct. 19. $5/duck, $12/three ducks, $30/10 ducks. Big Creek, Oxbo Road, Roswell. Ducks also will be available for sponsorship at the race. During this annual fundraising event, the toy ducks will “paddle” frantically down a short stretch of the creek. The first to cross the finish line will earn $250 for its sponsor. Second place earns $100.
