KEY OFFSEASON DATES

With Atlanta United’s 2019 season over, here are key offseason dates for the 2020 season:

■ Today: List of players available to Re-entry, Stage 2, are released. These are players who haven’t qualified for free agency and who have not agreed to a new contract with their current club but may want to stay in the league.

■ Nov. 10: MLS Cup, Toronto at Seattle

■ Nov. 11: Trade window opens at 1 p.m.

■ Nov. 13: Trade window closes at 8 p.m.

■ Nov. 14: Deadline to make contract extension offers to players.

■ Nov. 16: List of players available in expansion draft made available at 10 a.m.

■ Nov. 19: Expansion draft at 5 p.m. Inter Miami and Nashville will select as many as five players each.

■ Nov. 21: Deadline for clubs to exercise contract options. Atlanta United has several players that fall into this category.

■ Nov. 22: List of free agents are released. Free-agency eligible players are out-of-contract and option-declined players who are at least 28 years old and who have completed a minimum of eight service years.

■ Nov. 22: List of players eligible for Re-entry, Stage 1 is released.

■ Nov. 25: Waivers are conducted on players who are out of contract.

■ Nov. 25: Free agency opens at 3 p.m. Atlanta United signed Brek Shea last season.

■ Nov. 26: Re-entry process, Stage 1

■ Dec. 3: Re-entry process, Stage 2

■ Dec. 9: CONCACAF Champions League draw is held. It will be televised on Univision. Atlanta United will learn its bracket.

■ Dec. 13, 15: College Cup. The SuperDraft could be held around this time.

■ Mid-January: MLS full schedule is expected to be released, based upon past releases. The date could be moved up because of the CBA and how MLS compressed this season’s schedule.

■ Jan. 13: Atlanta United expected to open training camp.

■ Jan. 15-19: United Soccer Coaches convention in Baltimore

■ Jan. 31: Collective Bargaining Agreement between MLS and MLS Players Associatio­n expires.

■ Feb. 18-20: First round of Champions League games

■ Feb. 25-27: Second round of Champions League games

■ March 10-12: First leg of Champions League quarterfin­als

■ March 17-19: Second leg of Champions League quarterfin­als
