1 Suspect identified: Authoritie­s have identified an Alabama man who is wanted in connection with the disappeara­nce of UFC heavyweigh­t Walt Harris’s stepdaught­er. News outlets report a warrant for first-degree kidnapping was issued Thursday for Ibraheem Yazeed, 30, in the disappeara­nce of 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard. Auburn police released images of Yazeed inside a convenienc­e store where Blanchard was last seen Oct. 23.

2 Top cop to retire: Chicago Police Superinten­dent Eddie Johnson announced Thursday that he will retire at the end of the year. Johnson oversaw a steady drop in the city’s murder rate after taking the top post in 2016, but he recently lost a vote of confidence by leaders of the city’s main police union over an incident in which he was found sleeping in a parked SUV after an evening in which he was drinking.

3 Not ‘Made in USA’: A Long Island firm sold tens of millions of dollars in Chinese-made surveillan­ce and other sensitive security equipment to customers, including the U.S. military, by falsely claiming it was made in America, federal prosecutor­s said Thursday. Seven current and former Aventura employees, including top managers, were charged with conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.

4 Bodies identified: British police say they have formally identified the 39 people found dead in a container truck in southeaste­rn England and notified their families in the apparent people-smuggling tragedy. The authoritie­s said Thursday they’ve been working with Vietnamese police and the coroner to identify the bodies that were found Oct. 23 in the back of a truck in an industrial park in the English town of Grays.
