Carli Lloyd scored twice, Christen Press added a goal and the United States women held off Sweden 3-2 on Thursday night in Columbus, Ohio, giving Vlatko Andonovski a victory in his first match as head coach. The U.S. is 19-1-3 in 2019 and has a 22-match unbeaten streak.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL:

UConn freshman guard James Bouknight has received a threegame suspension over allegation­s he fled from a car crash. An arrest warrant affidavit alleges Bouknight smelled of alcohol after he crashed a car into a street sign near campus early in the morning of Sept. 27.

PRO FOOTBALL:

The Baltimore Ravens have signed inside linebacker L.J. Fort to a two-year extension through 2021. Fort was signed to Baltimore’s 53-man roster in late September after being released by the Eagles. He played the previous four seasons with Pittsburgh.

PRO FOOTBALL:

The Minnesota Vikings have ruled wide receiver Adam Thielen out for the game at Dallas, increasing the possibilit­y the two-time Pro Bowl pick will rest his injured thigh for the remainder of the month. Thielen was hurt during a first-quarter touchdown reception on Oct. 20 at Detroit and held out the next week against Washington. It was the first absence of his six-year NFL career. Thielen returned to the lineup last Sunday at Kansas City before aggravatin­g the injury and sidelined in the first quarter.

LEGAL:

O.J. Simpson is suing a Las Vegas hotel-casino, alleging unnamed employees defamed him by telling celebrity news site TMZ he was ordered off the property in 2017 for being drunk, disruptive and unruly. The former football star denies in the lawsuit filed against the Cosmopolit­an of Las Vegas that he was belligeren­t, broke glass or damaged property.
