Atlanta Spirit of the Heart Health and Wellness Fair. 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. New Life Community Ministries, 3592 Flat Shoals Road, Decatur. The Association of Black Cardiologists Atlanta Chapter, Dr. David Montgomery, PREventClinic, Dr. Jayne Morgan and Piedmont Healthcare will host this event. There will be free health screenings for cholesterol and blood pressure, health education, one-on-one appointments with local physicians, diet and exercise information focusing on cardiovascular health and disease prevention, and educational games for the family. These programs are designed to help people understand that heart disease can be preventable. Avondale Garden Club’s Annual Pancake & Sausage Breakfast and Garden Boutique. 8-11 a.m. Nov. 23. $7/ adult, $5/child (ages 6 to 10), $3/child (ages 3 to 5), free for children under age 3.
