Roswell Holiday Celebratio­n on the Square. 5 p.m. Saturday (rain date: 5:30 p.m. Sunday). Free. Town Square, 610 Atlanta St., Roswell. This event includes carolers from local schools, l ig h ting of Town Square, a reading of “T’was the Night Before Christmas” by the Mayor and a visit from Santa Claus. Santa’s Secret Gift Shop.

6-8:30 p.m. Saturday. Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell. For free, following the lighting of Town Square, holiday shuttle buses will be available to Santa’s Secret Gift Shop. Children, ages 12 and younger, are welcome to shop at affordable prices, make arts and crafts and face painting. On Saturday, park at the Adult Recreation Center and ride the holiday bus for free to the lighting of the square. The shuttle starts at 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Roswell Ramblers senior club. Homes for the Holidays: A Family Christmas atthe Southern Trilogy House Museums.

5-8 p.m. Sunday. $15/ages 13+, free/child ages 12 and younger. Downtown Roswell. All three of these historic homes are owned by the city of Roswell. ■ Barrington Hall, 535 Barrington Drive: Caroling sing-along at the piano, hot chocolate, cookies, angel dress-up photos and ornament crafts in the barn.

■ Bulloch Hall, 180 Bulloch Ave.: Unique decoration­s, roasted marshmallo­ws in the outdoor fireplace, mulled cider, cookies and a craft.

■ Archibald Smith Plantation, 935 Alpharetta St.: Hot, spiced apple cider, gingerbrea­d cookies, traditiona­l Christmas music and an opportunit­y to make a Christmas craft.
