Erica Marsh, a teacher at The Museum School of Avondale Estates, has been awarded a scholarship by the Association of American Educators Foundation to assist her in attending a conference, according to a press release.
“By attending this event, I can learn about the latest research on the effects of anxiety on the brain as well as strategies to support students in overcoming these challenges in order to “thrive in a stressful world,” noted Marsh in her submission. “I also plan to present my newly gained knowledge at my school so that all educators and students I work with can benefit from my attendance at this conference.”
AAE is committed to offering individual educators various avenues for improving effectiveness in the classroom.
“AAE commends the dedication Ms. Marsh has demonstrated in securing funding to provide a better learning environment and ‘whole student’ support,” said AAE Senior Professional Programs Manager Melissa Pratt. “These scholarships and grants are an investment in empowering teachers as professionals and supporting student outcomes in all educational communities nationwide.”
