1 COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Louisville’s Scott Satterfiel­d is the ACC’s coach of the year. In results announced Thursday, Satterfiel­d received 23 of a possible 60 votes, with 17 votes for Virginia’s Bronco Mendenhall and 15 for Clemson’s Dabo Swinney. Satterfiel­d led Louisville to a 7-5 finish, a 5-3 record in ACC play and a secondplac­e finish behind No. 3 Clemson in the Atlantic Division.

2 BROADCASTI­NG: Don Chiodo, a radio broadcaste­r for Central Michigan football and basketball, died in a car crash. He was 54. Police say Chiodo died in a crash Wednesday on M-46 in Gratiot County, just a few days before CMU plays for the Mid-American Conference football championsh­ip in Detroit.

3 PRO FOOTBALL: The San Francisco 49ers suspended radio analyst Tim Ryan for one game for saying Baltimore quarterbac­k Lamar Jackson was adept at carrying out fakes because of his “dark skin color with a dark football.” Ryan made the comments Monday in an interview on the 49ers’ flagship radio station KNBR, when describing Jackson’s ability to fake handoffs and keep the ball on runs that hurt San Francisco in a 20-17 loss to the Ravens last week.

4 PRO FOOTBALL: The Indianapol­is Colts claimed kicker Chase McLaughlin off waivers amid Adam Vinatieri’s continuing struggles. McLaughlin, a rookie from Illinois, has appeared in four games with the Los Angeles Chargers and three with San Francisco this season. He has made 13 of 17 field goals and all 15 extra points.

5 PRO BASEBALL: The Los Angeles Angels acquired right-hander Dylan Bundy from the Baltimore Orioles in a trade for four minor league pitchers. The 27-year-old Bundy has been a durable starter with a nasty slider for the past four seasons with the Orioles.
