PRO FOOTBALL: Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is doubtful to play in the team’s season finale against Indianapol­is because of an illness. The Jaguars downgraded Fournette on Saturday, a day before hosting the Colts. Fournette was hoping to start every game for the first time in his three seasons. The fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft has missed games because of injury and suspension. He has 1,152 yards rushing this season.

BASEBALL: The Kansas City Royals signed infielder Maikel Franco to a $2.95 million contract Friday to be their everyday third baseman. The deal, which was agreed to last week, includes up to $1.05 million in incentives. The 27-year-old Franco hit .234 with 17 homers and 56 RBIs in 123 games for the Phillies last season. He has spent his past six seasons in Philadelph­ia and hit at least 20 homers in three straight seasons.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Baylor preseason All-America forward Lauren Cox is back at practice and has been cleared to play for the No. 6 Lady Bears after missing seven weeks with a right foot injury. Cox went full speed at practice Saturday for the second day in a row and will be available when the defending national champion Lady Bears (9-1) host Morehead State on Monday. Cox had double-doubles in each of Baylor’s first two games.

PRO BASKETBALL: Zach Randolph announced his retirement, ending a 17-year NBA career. The big man was selected by the Trail Blazers with the 19th overall pick in the 2001 NBA draft out of Michigan State. Randolph, 38, ends his career with 18,578 points and 10,208 rebounds. Besides Portland, Randolph played for the Knicks, Clippers, Grizzlies and Kings, averaging 16.6 points and 9.1 rebounds. He was not with a team this season.
