‘Survivor’ features 20 winners in 40th edition

Coming off what has been dismissed as its worst season, “Survivor” will try to bounce back with a 40th season featuring 20 winners.

The reality series will offer a $2 million prize, up from the usual $1 million.

“Survivor: Winners at War” opens with two hours at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, on CBS. The 40th edition also marks the reality contest’s 20th anniversar­y.

Remember when “Survivor” was a national event? The 20 returning victors are: Adam Klein (28), winner of “Millennial­s vs. Gen-X” (2016);

CBS will look back at the show’s history in “Survivor at 40: Greatest Moments and Players” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5.
