A Cherokee County-based brewery has opened its newest location in Smyrna.

Reformation Brewery’s newest taproom is at the Eddy at Riverview Landing, a new mixed-use community along the Chattahoochee River. The taproom is 2,500 square feet with 16 taps.

Reformation’s draft beers will have an emphasis on IPAs and sours, as well as customer favorites. Patrons will also be able to purchase six-packs and fill growlers on site. The brewery is currently open on a limited schedule: 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 3-11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. The taproom’s debut follows the opening of Chattahoochee Coffee Co. at the development. Grand Champion BBQ is expected to open next to the brewery.

Once Grand Champion BBQ opens, Reformation Brewery plans to add hours on Tues

day and open for lunch. The barbecue restaurant will share an adjacent roll-up door with the brewery. Reformation Brewery started its operations in Wood- stock and in 2018 opened another taproom in Canton. CEO and co-founder Spencer Nix said the Smyrna taproom “is an extension of the brewery’s vision for sustainability.”

“We love that the developers shared our vision for sustainability-minded communities,” he said. “We’re humbled to be part of it and look forward to calling Smyrna home for many years to come.” The Eddy at Riverview Landing is a luxury-apartment community within an 82-acre mixed-use development.

Amenities include public river access, with a dock and kayak launch, green space, observation decks, an outdoor amphitheater and multiuse trails.
