Needed: Cobb Court-Appointed Special Advocates. CASA volunteers serve as the voice for abused and neglected children. Juvenile Court of Cobb County staff will host CASA volunteer training, beginning today. CASA volunteers are thoroughly screened, expertly trained and fully supervised residents who advocate for the best interest of children involved in Juvenile Court proceedings. A CASA volunteer sees the child monthly, provides information to the court through written reports, attends court proceedings and continues to advocate until the child is in his or her “forever” home. 770-528-2285, casa@ CobbCounty.org, CobbCounty.org/ courts/juvenile-court/casa
