Super Museum Sunday: Free Southern Trilogy Historic House Museum Tours of Roswell. 1-4 p.m. Sunday. Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation. Open to all ages, Southern Trilogy tours are available year-round, with each home representi­ng a different facet of antebellum history. Sponsored by the Georgia Historical Society, these museums are participat­ing with more than 100 other sites throughout the state as part of the Georgia History Festival, commemorat­ing Georgia’s founding in 1733. ■ Barrington Hall, 535 Barrington Drive, Roswell: Recognized nationally as one of the best examples of Greek Revival architectu­re and has been named one of “Metro Atlanta’s 50 Most Beautiful Homes” by Atlanta Magazine. In the 1830s, Barrington Hall’s builder, Barrington King, and his father, Roswell King, cofounded the colony that later became Roswell.

■ Smith Plantation, 935 Alpharetta St., Roswell: The Kings’ business partner, Archibald Smith, built the Smith Plantation with the Kings and Smiths producing a cotton mill and 300 acres of the crop. The Smith Plantation has been honored consistent­ly as a “Gem Attraction” in the AAA Travel Guide as well as ranked first of the “things to do” in the Roswell list for the third year in a row by Trip Advisor.

■ Bulloch Hall, 180 Bulloch Ave., Roswell: The mid1800s childhood home of Mittie Bulloch, who later became the mother of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States.

Artist’s Reception: local inspiratio­nal fine artist Linda Petty. 4-5:30 p.m. Sunday. Free with free parking. The Cumming Arts Center/Sawnee Associatio­n of the Arts, 111 Pilgrim Mill Road, Cumming. Exhibition hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays. Petty is February’s featured artist whose impression­istic-realism art is inspired mainly by nature. This month’s art classes will include Children/ Kids Wind Chimes (ages 6 and up), Adult Level Silk Painting and Dichroic Jewelry. Membership meetings are held monthly starting at 6 p.m. with a meet/ greet social, a 6:30 p.m. business agenda and a 7 p.m. art presentati­on.
