SOCCER:

An appeal by United Arab Emirates soccer officials that could strip Qatar of its 2019 Asian Cup title was being heard at sport’s highest court Thursday. A Court of Arbitratio­n for Sport judging panel is weighing the UAE soccer federation’s claim that 2022 World Cup host Qatar fielded two ineligible players to achieve its biggest soccer success.

BOXING:

An ex-girlfriend of boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was the mother of three of his children was found dead in a Southern California suburb, authoritie­s said. The coroner’s office confirmed the woman was Josie Harris, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.

OLYMPICS:

The British Olympic Associatio­n reached an agreement with leading athletes including Mo Farah over sponsorshi­p regulation­s placed on them for the Tokyo Games. The athletes were threatenin­g legal action unless they were given more commercial freedom under The Olympic Charter’s Rule 40, which restricts competitor­s promoting their own sponsors during the games to protect the value of the official sponsor deals made by the Internatio­nal Olympic Committee.

PRO FOOTBALL:

A person familiar with the decision said the Miami Dolphins decided not to pick up a contact option on center Daniel Kilgore, and he’ll become a free agent next week.

PRO FOOTBALL:

The Tennessee Titans waived linebacker Cameron Wake after one season into what had been a three-year contract. The Titans also announced Thursday they waived running back Dion Lewis, who still had two years left on the contract he signed in March 2018.
