First female bishop dies: The Right Rev. Barbara C. Harris, a public relations executive who marched for civil rights before finding a midlife calling in the ministry, becoming the first woman ordained as a bishop in the Episcopal Church and worldwide Anglican Communion, died March 13 at a hospice center in Lincoln, Massachuse­tts. She was 89.

Maryland delays primary: Maryland has been added to the list of states that will not hold presidenti­al primaries this spring to minimize the threat of coronaviru­s. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced Tuesday that the April 28 democratic presidenti­al primary would be postponed to June 2, according to tweet from WUSA-9 reporter Lorenzo Hall.

Biden declared winner: Joe Biden has been declared the winner of last week’s Democratic presidenti­al primary in Washington state, giving him victories in five out of six states that voted March 10. After nearly a week of counting votes, the former vice president on Monday held onto a small lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders that turned out to be insurmount­able.
