Cobb healthy foods eatery fails inspection

A healthy foods eatery in Cobb County failed a recent health inspection. Good Kitchen & Market in Marietta scored 68/U on March 17. Previous scores were 81/B on Aug. 1 and 100/A on March 28, 2019.

According to the report, food service employees were switching tasks without washing their hands and putting on fresh gloves. Other violations:

■ Soiled utensils were in the hand-washing sink near the dishwasher.

■ An employee was sanitizing a prep cutting board with solution that contained no sanitizer.

■ Many pieces of equipment stored as “clean” such as uten

sils, cutting boards and food containers were observed with a heavy accumulation of stained and dried-on food particles.

■ A hot holding unit contained three food items at temperatures below 135 degrees.

■ Numerous food items stored throughout the kitc h en a nd reach-in coolers held for more than 24 hours without date markings.

Most restaurants with failed scores are reinspected within 10 days.
