Beginning June 1, Acworth will begin charging its normal parking fees of $10.

Through June 30, in-person programs designed for senior citizens and individuals with special needs are suspended.

Here is a summary of modifications to the city’s activities and park operations:

■ Postponed from Saturday to Aug. 29: The Classic Car Cruise

■ Any event scheduled after Monday is currently on as scheduled.

■ Closed: All city beaches and swim areas

■ Monday: City officials will begin modified operations of Dallas Landing, Proctor Landing, South Shore Park and Cauble Park, involving limited parking access and a $10 parking fee with card payment only.

■ Open: trails, sidewalks and green space at Cauble Park

■ Closed: Cauble Park’s boat ramp and parking

■ Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily: South Shore Park, 4555 Ragsdale Road, only to grant access to Lake Acworth for launching kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and small boats, with last daily admittance at 6 p.m.

■ Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.: public restrooms at open parks. The city is cleaning the facilities regularly, but advisories are posted to use at your own risk.

■ Open: athletic facilities. Fields and batting cages are open for organized activities through the Acworth Baseball Association — with restrictions — and for unorganized activities to families in small groups but no outside organizations.

■ Closed amenities: pavilions and playgrounds

■ Open: trails, sidewalks and open space at any open park

■ None through Sunday: rental facilities. If you have rented a facility, you will be contacted by phone or the email address on file.

■ Open Monday: Depot History Center

■ Open Monday: Acworth Community Center. Free play activities will not be included. Access to the facility will require reservations in advance. Customer Experience team: 770-917-1234
