1 U.K. to review social distancing: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered a review of the government’s 2-meter (6.5feet) social distancing rule, saying a falling number of coronavirus cases gives the government “more margin for maneuver” in easing the guideline. Johnson said “probably” fewer than 1 in 1,000 people now have the virus, lowering the chance of coming in contact with someone who’s infected.
2 Actor Rajput dies: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found dead at his Mumbai, India, residence Sunday, police and media reports said. Mumbai police spokesperson Pranaya Ashok said details were being investigated. Rajput made his Bollywood debut in 2013 in “Kai Po Che,” based on the book by Chetan Bhagat.
3 Gas prices rise: The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline rose 11 cents over the past two weeks, to $2.16 per gallon. The highest average price in the nation for regular-grade gas is $3.11 per gallon in Honolulu. The lowest average is $1.69 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The average price of diesel is $2.55, the same as two weeks ago.
4 Congressman loses primary: Freshman Rep. Denver Riggleman, R-Va., who drew criticism from within his party for presiding over a same-sex wedding, lost the GOP nomination to Bob Good, a former Liberty University fundraiser. Riggleman is the first of 73 candidates endorsed by President Donald Trump this cycle to lose an election.
