1 PRO FOOTBALL:
NFL Network and NFL RedZone went dark on DISH Network and Sling TV Thursday night as both sides try to reach a new distribution agreement. The lack of an agreement impacts 11.32 million subscribers. DISH has 9.01 million and Sling TV accounts for another 2.31 million.
2 COLLEGE FOOTBALL:
Texas Tech is adding Alabama graduate transfer Chadarius Townsend, who was used sparingly by the Crimson Tide and has two years of eligibility remaining. Townsend was a standout high school quarterback in Alabama before joining the Tide in 2017. After a redshirt season, he split time at running back and receiver while also playing special teams.
3 TENNIS:
There might be wheelchair tennis at the 2020 U.S. Open after all. The USTA acknowledged Friday it should have consulted wheelchair athletes before announcing their events were being canceled — and now is willing to change its stance. USTA spokesman Chris Widmaier said there are three options on the table, including the original offer of a fund for those athletes in place of having them play in the Aug. 31Sept. 13 Grand Slam.
4 PRO SOCCER:
17-year-old American Gio Reyna made his first professional start Saturday after being named in Borussia Dortmund’s lineup at Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. Reyna was set to join the U.S. national team for the first time in March, but its matches were called off because of the pandemic.

French soccer authorities are allowing fans back into stadiums from July 10, with an initial limit of 5,000. Noel Le Graet, president of the French Football Federation, says it is possible more spectators will be allowed into the French Cup final at the end of July and for the resumption of top-tier Ligue 1 play at the end of August.
