1 PRO BASKETBALL: The Clippers signed free agent Joakim Noah to a new contract for the rest of the season, three months after he first signed a 10-day deal with the team. The two-time All-Star averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 42 games for Memphis last season. Noah originally signed with the Clippers on March 9, two days before the NBA put its season on hold.

PRO BASKETBALL: The 2 Cleveland Cavaliers agreed to terms with free agent forward Jordan Bell on a two-year contract and signed two-way forward Dean Wade to a multiyear deal, a person familiar with the negotiatio­ns told the Associated Press. The Cavs are one of the eight teams excluded from the NBA restart in Orlando scheduled for late July.

3 AUTO RACING: Mercedes will race in all-black cars for the 2020 Formula One season as it pledges to fight racism and improve the diversity of its team. Six-time F1 world champ Lewis Hamilton and teammate Valtteri Bottas will race in black overalls for the season, which starts Sunday in Austria.

AUTO RACING: Italian auto racing 4 champion turned Paralympic gold medalist Alex Zanardi underwent a second brain surgery Monday, 10 days after an emergency operation following a crash on his handbike. After the latest surgery Zanardi, 53, was returned to the intensive care unit in a medically induced coma, the Santa Maria alle Scotte Hospital in Siena said.

5 PRO SOCCER: The former president of CONCACAF, the governing body for North and Central America and the Caribbean, was sentenced to time served for his role in accepting $1.66 million in bribes in the FIFA scandals and will return to Honduras after 4½ years in the U.S. Alfredo Hawit also was sentenced to two years of supervised release and barred from holding a title in any pro soccer organizati­on.
